I replaced the 1st battery and that one failed after 1 month. The small screws are starting to strip out as well.For my MDs-Mod 2, I used the short screws and a washer under the screw head. My issue was removing the cover plate. Heat with a soldering iron for one minute or you will strip the screw heads. Then use a T-10 hand screw driver.
