While I could have just saved money and bought the G30S, I like the features of the Gen 4 such as the wide mag release, improved grip texture, shorter LOP just like the G30SF, and modular back straps. The difference in the grip size between the SF and the Gen 4 (without any back straps installed)is insignificant (read as virtually the same), the only real difference is the grip texture. The standard Glock 30 has a grip that is larger, front to back. The best defense is a good offense, and I'm really offensive.For me, a G36 conceals a little better than my previous fat G26. But I prefer the G30S for 2 reasons: It carries 4 more rounds, and it fits my hand better. I feel less of a need to carry a spare mag with the G30S than I did with the G36.
